Happy Easter!

We spent the day with my parents and grandpa. Savannah had a great time playing in the yard and her sandbox. She ran for hours and never took a nap the entire day. I will admit that it was nice when she went to sleep early and slept for the entire night!

Rare San Diego snow!

We had a winter storm move in over this last weekend. There was a lot of rain compared to what we are used to here. Just to give you an idea, look at the photos from last week. The place where Savannah was feeding the ducks is now under water. It also snowed in our local mountains. So we waited a couple days for the crowds to move through and then headed up to let Savannah play in the snow for the first time. I think her favorite part was eating the snow. She is teething again and the cold ice probably felt good!

Just Ducky!

We took Savannah over to Lake Murray this weekend to feed the ducks. She doesn't seem understand that she can't pet them or follow them into the water, but she still seemed to have fun regardless!

Mmmm, sampling the bread first!

Little Hiker

Savannah is becoming quite the little hiking companion. She seems to enjoy watching the scenery while be toted all around on her Daddy's back. We are planning a trip to Yosemite National Park in few months and we are trying to get acclimated to hiking long distances and high altitudes now. We also want to know how long we can hike with Savannah in her backpack before she gets upset or restless. I think we know the answer. After about 2 miles, she will fall deep asleep and you can pretty much hike as far as you want!

Savannah- Goat Whisperer

What is Savannah's favorite zoo exhibit? The petting zoo of course! Each time we visit she checks in with each and every one of her little goat friends!

Valentine's day!

We spent today at the local aquarium. It was deserted which was wonderful! We got to take our time looking at all the exhibits and exploring the tide pools. We even bought a year long pass and look forward to visiting again, especially on rainy days!

The largest tank.

Look at those fish!!

Looking at all of the upside down jelly fish.

The photo is out of focus, but it shows her current jaw line.

Outside exploring the tide pools. Experiencing a starfish close-up.

Rare Savannah and daddy fish!

Playing at the water tables.

Another amazing southern California day! You can't even tell that it rained this morning!

First Haircut

I gave Savannah her first official haircut last weekend. Not an easy feat with a fast moving target! I really don't know how hairdressers for kids do it! I trimmed her bangs a few months ago and don't remember it being nearly this difficult. This hairdo took me two days to finish! I just snipped little pieces here and there until I reached the cut I wanted. I think it came out cute. It is a little bob and it says out of her eyes now (for the most part). It was very windy the day that I day I took this picture!
