Disneyland! Yes, we went AGAIN!

We went again yesterday and had a great time. Sav is starting to feel much better and we decided to try Disneyland again. It was a very relaxing trip (for a change). We didn't go on a lot of rides and just took our time. Savannah is really starting to love the characters and was insisting on meeting them all! Unfortunately we went back to stand in the really long line (it wasn't that long- I am just a line wimp!) to meet Mickey he wasn't there. When we went back a little later Savannah had just fallen asleep. So that will be one of the first things on our list for next time. I am sure it will be right after riding on Little Mermaid since she determined to go on that ride first!

So happy to pose with Sully! AKA Kitty!
Snuggling up to Goofy. She just had to meet him!

Copying goofy!
Loves to ride on the Choo-Choo train!

Trying on some Savannah sized hats.
The balloon girl at dinner made Savannah her favorite princess, Ariel! She did a great job!

Pneumonia!

Savannah has been officially diagnosed with pneumonia. When her fever and cough wouldn't go away I booked her for an appointment.  On the night of her appointment she had a blood oxygen rate of 94% (low) and still had a low fever even with Motrin.  At the office they gave her a breathing treatment and took an x-ray. The x-ray confirmed that she does have pneumonia in both lungs. So she now has oral antibiotics, an inhaler and some antibiotic drops for her ear which is also weeping fluid.

Only 24 hours later and she is feeling much better and back to her usual crazy monkey antics! Her fever has finally come back down to normal also. Unfortunately the inhaler (which has a little mask to go over her nose and mouth) has triggered an emotional reaction like I have never seen before in her. She screams when she sees it and starts to cover her face. I think it is baby PTSD from all her surgeries and procedures. It does look a lot like an anesthesia mask. Poor thing. I can't wait until this bump in the road has past us!!

Disneyland Half Marathon

I am proud to announce that will be running the Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare race on Labor day weekend this year! I am so excited that I have been talking about this for months!!! In order to actually run the race I need to raise $1000 dollars for a charity of my choice. I have chosen "Run for Our Sons" benefiting research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Which is the most common fatal genetic disorder among children. I have another $670 to raise before I get to race. Please help me and the children that have been born with Duchenne MD. Any amount helps and I will forever be in your debt! Here is my personal donation page...

Thanks Again!!!!

PS- What is a Dumbo Double Dare you ask? It is a 10k on Saturday followed by the Disneyland half marathon on Sunday!

****Thanks to everyone who donated so far!!! I met my goal in less than 3 weeks! Much faster than I EVER expected. I will still be collecting donations until August if you want to donate to this great charity! Thanks again you guys are the best!****

Happy New Year again!

It is the last day of 2012!

We had a great Christmas with our families but unfortunately it was the Christmas that just kept on giving. Savannah's latest gift? A stomach bug that she probably caught from one of her cousins. After a day of vomiting Savannah is doing MUCH better. She has never puked before and was very upset and confused each time she had to vomit. I felt so bad for her! She did have a great Christmas playing with cousins and getting all of her new gifts. Her favorites are definitely Legos and a Cabbage Patch baby.

Cardboard box wins every time over an expensive gift!

Gifts from Santa, Mom and Dad.

Just woke up and impatiently waiting for her castle to be assembled.

Always in motion! This is the reason why I still haven't finished her 2yr portraits!!!

Daddy did such a great job on the balcony this year!

An awesome Christmas Day Sunset! (taken while Dad was driving!)

Now on to those pesky New Years Resolutions again. My resolution last year were to get more exercise and hopefully lose more weight. Well I am happy to say that I started Medifast in September and lost 40lbs by Thanksgiving. Right before Thanksgiving I started an program of jogging and have come to absolutely love it. I have been able to maintain my weight loss with no problem and haven't had to watch what I eat that closely. I have never ever been a runner but it has been awesome. When people say it is like free therapy it is so true! To keep up the motivation this year I plan to run a 10k in Feb, 5k in March, and then the Disneyland Dumbo double dare (10k Saturday and half marathon on Sunday!) in September. Congrats also to my hubby who lost 45lbs on the Medifast system!

Hope you and your family had a great Holiday and that you have a happy (and relatively healthy!) New Year in 2013! Cheers!!!

Now Size 8/10 and before at my heaviest at size 16!
